#10 You sir, have never done the "luge" down the stairs and out the front door. My friends and I did this frequently in college. Of course there were a few alcohol-fueled accidents, but we became experts at it. You got me on the phone though…

  • Kyle

#1 Perhaps it can be explained that since he believed he was a real space ranger and the others were 'aliens', in order to fit in with them he simply mimicked how they reacted when the larger people were around.

  • Dave

Also in Aladdin, at the end of the movie, instead of Aladdin using his last wish to set the genie free, if he really is concerned again about being a prince, he could use his last wish to become a prince. Then Jasmine could rub the lamp and set the genie free as one of her 3 wishes. If Jafar, could use it, why couldn't Jasmine? ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

The Harry Potter one is explained in the books and movie. All the time-turners are broken when the kids go the ministry of magic after Hermione uses them for classes which is before deaths begin happening really. So with all the time turners broken, they can't go back and actually solve anything.

    • T.A.R.D.I.S.

That and the time turners operate on a fixed timeline, you can't actually change the past with them.

    • JD3

That was the point in the series where you knew that JK had no plan for the series, and was just winging it. She wrote herself into a corner and had to resort to ridiculous plot devices to finish it. The same thing happened with Lost.

    #6 – don't ruin my childhood chive!!

I think there's a better one for back to th future 2: old biff goes back in time to give young biff the almanac, then comes back to an unchanged future, but when marty and doc go back to 1985 doc says they can't gobacktothe future to stop old biff because the future has changed… How did old biff get back to his original time?

  • red4

Pretty much already knew all of this when I saw those movies.

Aladdin's first wish is to become a prince. By the end of the movie, he's a prince. Genies work in mysterious ways.

#2 I always found it odd that at the end of the Enchantment Under the Sea dance when Lorraine says to George: "Marty, what a nice name", yet years later they don't name their first son Marty, they name him Dave.

In the Shawshank Redemption Andy Dufrense is 6'5" and the warden is no more than 5'10". How does the suit and shoes Andy steals fit him perfectly when he is 7 inches taller than the man he stole it from? It has bothered me for years.

Why do so many of you know so much about Harry Potter? Pretty sure that series is for children.

#8 Don' you ever speak badly about this movie ever again.

  • ATXMarine

#8 Why did you do this to us? I feel like my whole life is a lie now. It will never be the same.

    • AnthonySyl

"Everything above your waist is a point. You can hit the head, sternum, kidneys, ribs. Got it?" quoted from the movie. your life is not a lie and thing will be the same.

  • Jaqua

Chive, you missed one of the most important ones ever. Lord of the rings, they spend the entire movie walking to Mordor to destroy a ring. At the very end of the movie, once the ring is destroyed eagles FLY and rescue Same and Frodo.

  • so sad

you shut up Chive. Stop it, just stop it

#5 Actually, without Indy the Nazis would never have found the Arc at all. They were digging in the wrong place. They were on the verge of giving up when they noticed Indy digging up the Arc himself.

    • Chris A

They were digging in the wrong place because they used the burned imprint of the amulet off the guys hand without knowing there was writing on the other side of the amulet. However, without Indy, they would have just procured the amulet in the first place and would have dug it the correct location.

Terminator has always bothered me too… in the first one he has to use a phone book to find sarah connor…. what computer uses a phone book?! Also if john connor was there to send a lone warrior back in time to protect him and his mother obviously the machines had failed in killing him and thered be no reason to go back in time… still love those movies though

Here's another one that I have discovered…In Pirates of The Caribbean Bootstrap Bill is shot into the ocean, and the other damned need his blood. In the second movie Bootstrap is with Davy Jones and has been there for awhile. The problem is Bootstrap Bill couldn't die because he had taken a piece of the Aztec gold. Did he sit at the bottom of the ocean for 8 years and then one day drowned or did the Flying Dutchman pick him up while he sat on the bottom of the ocean?

  • Manboy

Also in Pirates of the Carribean, I might have missed somethign but what was the deal with the villian's master plan. It was just to turn human instead of being these invincible ghost pirates? Why did they want to stop that? Wouldn't they be easier to kill once theyre just a band of regular pirates?

    • Manboy

I mean why would the heroes want to stop that? Just let them become human and blow them out of the water

On Gremlins, I always wondered when you could start feeding them again? Dawn? Noon? 4:20?

Oceans 11 – Danny, Linus, and Yen sneak into the vault full of money. Then they send bags full of hooker flyers up the vault elevator, where they are placed in the remote controlled van. As soon as that van pulls away, the 'SWAT' van pulls up with Rusty, Turk, Virgil, Frank, Saul and the other guys dressed up as fake cops. They bring in their bags that they fill up with money after the fake assualt and walk out with at the end of the heist. — WHERE THE FUCK did Danny, Linus, and Yen get 8 big black duffel bags, and easily 100 lbs of hooker fliers!?! How did they get them down to the vault to send up as the decoy bags? — Remember, they left the cages BEFORE the swat team arrived!

One plot hole that has always bothered me and isn't listed here: The Rock…Sean Connery is leading the seals toward a secret entrance to Alcatraz when they hit a dead end with a furnace. Remember they are trying to break INTO Alcatraz so try and think backwards. Ignoring the fact that the furnace is somehow still turned on and in working order, Connery tells the seals he memorized the timing of the flame jets so he could roll underneath and escape. He does this and opens the door on the Alcatraz side to let the seal team in. NOW, why in the hell would he even bother memorizing the damn furnace to escape if all he had to do was open the fucking door and leave during his escape?

    • Ross

That one always got me too

  • Sandman

#12 doesn't matter. Still gonna see it in 3d.

  • Pants

#1 You'd do the same if a giant boy appeared and had the ability to snap you in two on a whim.

#3 Bathing in salt water dehydrates you.

I hate posts like these. People who concentrate on this kind of stuff have way too much time on their hands or trying way too hard to smarter than everybody else. What, do you want a cookie because you figured this out? No one thinks you are cool, special, or a genius. You are just that guy who has to point every single flaw in everything and ruin everyone else's good time. Just sit back and enjoy the damn movie.

In regards to #12, I have heard that Spielberg more or less doesn't care about small inconsistencies like that in his movies. He is more concerned with telling a good, engaging story.
