I normally never comment on these things but #18 really got me. I worked at a wildlife rescue center in Thailand over the summer and can tell you first hand that that tiger is drugged up and spends its entire life chained up for tourists and wealthy Thai businessmen to pose with and even take turns punching. Definitely nothing to be glorified that this guy paid money enabling more abuse.

I love looking at all the photos of cat saturday but today was not so fun. I just finished an internship at Big Cat Rescue ing Tampa, FL and I learned so much about the mistreatment of wild cats. We rescue abused and abandoned cats from circuses, road-side zoos, and private ownership. The man who took a photo with the tiger is what you call a road-side zoo. often times the cats are declawed (the removal of the entire first knuckle) and defanged. Even more disturbing they are drugged which makes them a little more tamed. These cats live a terrible life and are chained down in the hopes they wont bite the humans who so willingly pay to take pictures with these suffering animals. DO NOT support people who exploit these majestic creatures for money.

circuses force animals to perform against their will and this is the result. unfortunately for the lions they were put to sleep. such a shame.
