• Zack Sparrow

• Daniel Tosh

The title should read "life is Ruff get a dog"

• erasor2010

#9 a german shepherd named Rommel, really?

• bestvibration

My first thought, too! Sounds strange in my (German) ears…

• Texas

Rommel was a military genius and was associated with the assassination attempt of Hitler, I see nothing wrong with this.

• YOYO

My girl has a chihuahua, named Hector

• heywood jablowme

we had a mutt of a dog many years ago. His name was Hector the Wonder Dog.

• I don't know

Rommel was a military genius who used his knowledge to kill thousands and to further nazi Germany's cause. He was associated with the attempt on hitler, but he didnt actually support the assassination. He only supported dethroning hitler because of his mismanagement of the war effort that led to Germany's failed soviet campaigne. He is not a hero. He was a nazi through and through.

• testudo321

Well a name is just a name, but here in Europe dogs have also been given names of people you disliked. For instance dogs named Sultan (during Turkish invasion) or Rex….

• WalterSobchak_

The military tactics that Erwin Rommel invented for tank warfare are taught today in every army, including the USA

• I don't know

Again, that doesn't make him any less of an evil asshole.

• Stick

Yes, yes it does

• WalterSobchak_

Not to mention all of the lives of American soldiers whose training he help saved.

• Chicago

You named your dog after a Nazi man…

No way around that one. Please stop trying to justify it like it's ok. It is not ok.

• alex

life is tough, get a dog… :) Rommel was a Nazi, yes… Rommel also contributed to make a better world yes… so bad guy or good guy? WAR IS NEVER BLACK AND WHITE, it just sucks, it was like that and will always be like that…

On the other hand, guys, try to be respectful to each other, calling you stupid Effs.. well i dunno… And you have to admit Walter, it is a bit… triggering for negative comments, and trying to justify it with long explanations, well i would hate that…your "freedom" only lasts to where another's freedom stops…there are other great german heros: Kohl, Beckenbauer Franzl, Dolly Buster and the Saxen Paule… you could also have called him "Hans", "Schniedelwutz" "Schindler" or "Currywurst" or get a Swiss Shepherd, and call him "Guisan", then you truly would have a great WWII reference, if there ever can be a "great" reference to WWII… just my thought as a non-fighting, independent but peaceful swiss guy…

• WalterSobchak_

Erwin Rommel was forced to commit suicide for being apart of the assassination attempt on hitler.

I was the one who sent the picture in.

• I don't know

While its true Rommel was forced to commit suicide for his part in the attempt on hitler that doesn't somehow make up for the fact that he was a nazi through and through. Before the attempt on hitler he was their most valuable field general and is responsible for thousands of deaths to further the nazi cause. His motive for eliminating kilter was not some grand plan to redeem himself for all of his misdeeds. It was a plan he supported solely because hitlers deterioration was directly putting the war effort in jeopardy.

Beautiful dog, but you're an ignorant fuck for naming it after a nazi general and then trying to justify it.

• Catlover

"He was a splendid military gambler, dominating the problems of supply and scornful of opposition … His ardor and daring inflicted grievous disasters upon us, but he deserves the salute which I made him — and not without some reproaches from the public — in the House of Commons in January 1942, when I said of him, "We have a very daring and skillful opponent against us, and, may I say across the havoc of war, a great general."
He also deserves our respect because, although a loyal German soldier, he came to hate Hitler and all his works, and took part in the conspiracy to rescue Germany by displacing the maniac and tyrant. For this, he paid the forfeit of his life. In the sombre wars of modern democracy, chivalry finds no place … Still, I do not regret or retract the tribute I paid to Rommel, unfashionable though it was judged." Winston Churchill–another ignorant fuck, apparently.

• Mike D

"The Afrika Korps were never accused of any war crimes, and Rommel himself referred to the fighting in North Africa as Krieg ohne Hass—war without hate. Numerous examples exist of Rommel's chivalry towards Allied POWs, such as his defiance of Hitler's infamous Commando Order following the capture of Lt. Roy Woodridge and Lt. George Lane as part of Operation Fortitude. He also refused to comply with Hitler's order to execute Jewish POWs.
During Rommel's time in France, Hitler ordered him to deport the country's Jewish population; Rommel disobeyed. Several times he wrote letters protesting against the treatment of the Jews. When British Major Geoffrey Keyes was killed during a failed commando raid to kill or capture Rommel behind German lines, Rommel ordered him buried with full military honours. Also, during the construction of the Atlantic Wall, Rommel directed that French workers were not to be used as slaves, but were to be paid for their labour."

#26 Excitement overload for this guy…dogs rule.

• tv_paul

#48 YEAH , I promise to take good care of it and play with it every day and…oh the you meant the dog….ye..ah.

• Terry

#43 If you've never had a dog please consider adopting one at your local shelter

• Catlover

Or just get one from the vending machine like this guy did.

• Banana Balls

And if the local shelter doesn't have the kind of dog I want? It's a choice, you know. I'm not going to take a dog just because someone else didn't want it any more or take care of it. Try that with children, see how it works.

• Beth Reiter

Then buy a designer handbag. A dog is a living thing. If you are willing to perpetuate the cruel industry of puppy mills to get "the dog you want" then you lack the compassion and maturity to own a pet. You can find any breed of dog through a shelter or rescue organization if you are willing to look for it, but if it is more important to you to have a pedigree stamp, then PLEASE do not get a dog. You will tire of it, and it will end up another unwanted dog in a shelter. Luckily, there are people out there who do actually care about the welfare of animals and don't simply regard them as accessories.

• Prick

• prison_mike

what a bitch lol

• Rommel

Well put. Potential puppy-mill customers, buy a video game instead, twits.

• Shira

Oh. I got my dog because as a puppy he was wandering the streets dirty and hungry. Does that count?

• Jules_23

#2 #11 #45. What type of dog r these?

• Tim

2 and 45 are Huskies…obviously puppies

11 is one of the purse dogs that celebrities and people who should never own a dog, tend to buy. Cute, but highly annoying. Stick with a bigger breed…IMHO

• Dave

11 is a Pomeranian. He is barker, but a fun little dog

• Shay

11 is an Alaskan malamute…their heads are to big for just a regular Siberian husky.

• Shay

sorry 2 is an Alaskan malamute not 11

• Guest

Anybody who abuses a dog should be shot in the face… #47

• tv_paul

You are being far to lenient.

• Sir Cadogen

Agreed. I am disappointed, Alec. There's no detail on what happened to this poor pup, or specifically who I need to track down and dismember for doing it to him.

• Ole

full blown mange back to that…whoever took care of this dog after the horrible start should be rewarded

• Brian

They are with his/her love.

• open minded

Couldn't agree more.

• Tyellock

I must disagree to the shooting the one who did this. They need to suffer as much as the dog did, shooting them would end it too quick.

• JTV

Why not shoot them with Razor blades and then make them bathe in OC?

• bau55

It was probably a stray that just had a case of the mange. There is no boogeyman to blame, sorry.

• Cameron Lyons

#48 it took me about 20 seconds to actually see a dog..

• ChowdaMonkey

It took me until you said there was a dog to in fact, see a dog..

• oobaka

There's a dog?

• Kris

• Kyle429

#48 There's a dog in this picture? All I see is DAT ASS! MOARR (w/o the puppy)!!

• B Dub

Is he still behind me? OMG…..OMG…..OMG….. Just don't look back and he might leave me alone…

• Raul

#48 Lmao I had to look at the picture for a third time to actually see a dog. Although I didn't mind looking at it a few extra times.

• FLChiver

#18. Are we being mocked?
#20. Throwing up is not shameful.

• Bob Barker

Exactly on #20. Poor little thing can't help being sick. Dogs don't have the ability to resist the urge to purge like humans. Same with younger dogs/puppies, I don't think they should go in there for peeing or crapping on the floor either. That's just poor pet monitoring by it's human.

• DrFunkenstein

Hopefully someone puts the owner in a box of shame every time their body reacts to something too.

• echogeo

#42 That's why you never see any Cat Parks.

<img src=""width="300" height="300"/>

• AnItalianChiver

#1 Sunday hangover
#49 yeah human.. Whatever..

• Jonathan

can we get more of #47 ?

• moses

#24, why can't I handle all these dogs?

• RobDL

Punishing a dog for being sick? What good will that do?

• bangbus

Well… He might learn to eat it next time.

• bdtrngl

Or contain the vomit at the very least.

• RyanMS3

#46 Winning
#48 What dog?

• EatABearToday

#47 Damn the person that let that happen. Bless the person that made it right.
