What an idiot. All you have to do is research the Roomba before buying it… there are countless stories of this happening and every person says the same thing: make sure you're home when the vacuum is scheduled to clean! It doesn't make much noise and doesn't take too long. I've had mine for quite a while now and I knew enough to read all about it before something like this could happen.
