Inside the castle and the Bowser fight was cool, everything leading up to it was terrible.

    • Andrew

I didn't watch that far, I wasted 30 seconds watching that and they wasted 50DAYS making that…

Seemed they went through a lot of effort. It is a pity that it is crap.

You all sound like a bunch of assholes. Give the team props for doing something inventive that no doubt took a lot of hard work. If you've never tried to render something, I suggest you download some freeware and give it a go- Then you'll see why a two minute video takes 50 days.

I think most of us realise they put in long hours… it just sucks is all. Effort doesn't automatically mean awesome.

      • grantito99

More like 50 days of wasted effort. I'm sure there was plenty of more important stuff they could have been doing.

  • oilyegg

looks super hard. i wish it were a different level and, as douchey as it is to point out, this is a first person platformer not shooter.

What I love about Mario is how bright and cheerful it is – the feeling of the first part wasn't Mariolike at all! The castle part was a little better but overall, the spirit of this was just not right. To richarac: whenever somebody release art for public viewing (and I don't discredit this as anything less) isn't it okay to criticize it? I didn't see anyone say they could do better (I couldn't) but it seems the general consensus is we just didn't like it! But in fairness, props to the team for doing something inventive, and no doubt it did take a lot of hard work.

The idea was pretty good, as were the techniques used.
Unfortunately, the part leading up to the castle was very, very confusing and disorienting. It kinda killed the whole thing.

What a waste of 50 days.

  • Who cares

I think you missed the s in fps. This was more of a first person action/platformer than shooter.

  • Pooperstein

*were- what if Mario were a fps game. It is a conditional statement.
