One year ago today a senseless act of unprovoked violence rocked the city of Boston but failed to break its endearing spirit. While we were reminded that evil exists in the world, the prevailing lesson was that good will always triumph. The stories of heroism that emerged from the tragedy are countless. The incredible people of Boston are an inspiration to us all as they continue to lift each other up on their journey to recovery.
Red Sox outfielder, Jonny Gomes, was nice enough to invite us to Dodger stadium last season while they were in town. He spent a good hour talking to us about how so many Chivers had stepped up to the plate to help those affected by the attacks. Show Jonny and the rest of the RedSox some love, HERE
Boston is known for being a giving community. It is no surprise that the Chivers have such a huge presence in that unbreakable city. Check out the Boston Chive chapter HERE and send them some love on Facebook.
We will never completely rid the world of evil, but the people of Boston will always stand as a testament to the perseverance of the human spirit. Our hearts continue to go out to the victims of this tragedy and their families. We know there is nothing we can do to take away their pain, but pray that they heal and find solace. We take comfort in the knowledge that they have each other for support. Stay strong, Boston.
