A Japanese show called ‘Susuni! Denpa Shōnen’ was a lot like a creepy real life ‘Truman Show’ where Tomoaki Hamatsu, a 23-year-old comedian was confined in a tiny apartment since January 1998. His challenge was the live there until he won about $10,000 in prizes from magazine competitions. He had to live only on the prizes he won. Funny enough, the reason he got chosen was because he had won a lottery for a ‘show business related job.’ His reward was fame, but he wasn’t exactly told how he would get it. He was completely unaware that the whole country was watching.
