1942 Willys MB Jeep Restoration “Florida Belle”:
The completely restored “Florida Belle”. The bumper numbers of the 508th Parachute Infantry is one of my old Airborne units that I served with in Italy (95-98).
She was neglected over the years by keeping her outdoors but she ran beautifully. Most vehicles would probably not run at all and the upholstery would be ruined. The Engine is a Ford, therefore, painted grey. She also came with an original Spartan horn which is worth a mint to collectors.
Completely restoring the break system. Indecently, the muffler was being held in place with a beer can that was completely replaced with a new reproduction exhaust and muffler unit.
The Jeep was in an odd light green, shiny paint scheme and was completely repainted with the correct OD matt 2 paint.
Restored engine compartment. Also, added to the Jeep are all of the correct bonding straps since the “Florida Belle” is a radio Jeep and marked as such with an “S” for “radio suppressed” in the registration number.
