John Cena lives a purpose driven life. From the WWE to his show-stealing scenes in the hit film, Trainwreck, 2015 has been an eventful one for the Champ. You can imagine that, in the swirling vortex of superstardom, Cena has very little extra time.
And yet, seemly, he has time for everything. The rigorous travel demands of the WWE allow him to pop up right next to you in your city with almost Bill Murray-like randomness. His commitment to filling his time with meaningful experiences is John’s gift.
Aside from the innumerable amount of charity work, the benefactors of these extra moments are often Chivers. John has pulled up to Chivers at grocery stores just to say Chive On. Recently, one of our Chivettes was celebrating her birthday at a restaurant when she found herself getting a birthday hug from Cena, “He was suddenly just there… the nicest, most normal guy, except he’s like a 10-foot tall packet of muscles.”
theCHIVE and Cena have always connected on the charity front, we’re entertainers with a heart. Cena has granted more Wishes than most genies and theCHIVE has long championed the orphaned causes in the world – A brilliant article was published today titled Hotness, Humor, and Heart: How theCHIVE built a $6 Million Charity. Read that right here.
On December 26th, John Cena will wrestle Alberto Del Rio at Madison Square Garden for the U.S. Title. Let’s pack the Garden with Chive green for the Champ. Who knows, maybe he’ll take the time to surprise you. He’s always got time for a photo or three.
Here’s look back at some of the amazing moments Cena has had with the Chivers and all those granted wishes…
