Last week we hopped in a party bus and made our way to Killeen, TX – home of Ft. Hood. There are a few reasons we made the trip not least of which was to raise a glass with the troops!
Mac refused to go to a rest-stop unless it had a playground.
Mac was just doing push ups in that last picture to get ready for the party. He’s totally sober…
After just over an hour the party bus arrived at Pluckers. For a small town in mid Texas they sure know how to host a party.
The ladies were actually running toward a dog, not the bar. Meet Tucker. He’s a service dog and just got back from his training camp in Houston.
Our Texas-exclusive KCCO White Wheat couldn’t be poured fast enough. If you haven’t tried the white wheat or the nationwide KCCO Gold Lager, find it RIGHT HERE!
The Boot Campaign is an amazing military charity supporting veterans and their families. Get your boots on and help support their cause RIGHT HERE!
One of the big hits of the night was Boot Campaign’s Push Ups For Charity! The ladies gave it their best.
Doing as many push ups as you can do in 90 seconds is not easy.
By now you have heard that the Official Band of theCHIVE is theTailgaters. What you probably didn’t know is that they are some of the most patriotic guys you will ever meet. They sang with pure passion and support for our military with tributes after each song and even bringing a couple vets on stage to sing with them. Good on you Joe and the rest of the band. So excited to have you play at many more events to come!
This party was more than just a few beers with our troops. We used the night to kick off Resignation Brewery’s Military Appreciation Month. A portion of ALL sales this month are going to the Patriot Pact Coalition .
Former Staff Sgt. Joey “Johnny” Jones is the key person that helped us form the Patriot Pact Coalition in conjunction with three Texas-based military charities: Boot Campaign, Marcus Luttrell’s Team Never Quit Foundation, and the Chris Kyle Frog Foundation.
Classic Carmen
Mac kept complaining that his flight suit wasn’t “break-dance friendly”.
If you’ve ever visited theCHIVE the very first person you’ll see is Claire. She now part of our events team so keep an eye out for her at all upcoming meetups!
That million-dollar smile is Chris “OZ” Ferrara. He is an acoustic specialist with an amazing voice.
