Ronnie Kray killed George Cornell in a busy pub and got away with it for years
In 1966, in the Blind Beggar pub, Ronnie Kray approached George Cornell, Cornell sneered with sarcasm “Look who’s here”. Ronnie Kray took out a 9 mm Luger, and calmly shot him once in the forehead, just above his right eye.
Although Ronnie Kray was identified by several eyewitnesses as he calmly left the pub, no one would agree to testify against him and the police were forced to release him from custody. Eventually 4 years later he was found guilty of the murder.
