These awesome pop culture themed stamps are the work of freelance graphic designer Clark Orr. Part of his Postage exhibition (currently on show at Gallery1988 in Los Angeles), Orr originally “started designing for a fictitious movie prop themed show, got three pieces in, felt uninspired and just scrapped it all to do a new idea”.
After a short-lived matchbook idea, he decided to go even smaller and settled on the idea of the iconic stamp.
“Each price of the stamp that I put on the specific design correlates to either the price of stamps, the year the film was released, or to an important number attributed to the property. I designed everything working over the span of a handful of weeks”.
