It seems like there’s always an excuse to move the doomsday clock forward to nuclear annihilation. We’ve got nukes, the bad guys have nukes and everyone’s waving them around and sooner or later (I’m hoping never), someone’s gonna get pissed and push a button. So while the government and military are trying to figure out how to deter that and manage the repercussions, we’re not really sure on what we need to do if it ever happens. But don’t worry, we’ll tell ya.
Now, if you’re a prepared sort of, ‘I’m ready for the end of the world,’ kind of person, then this isn’t for you. For the rest of us, that don’t really think ahead all that much, there is a website called Ready.gov, that is full of preparedness literature and info on what to do if a small to medium bomb (10 Kilotons or so) goes off, and what that means for you. Assuming that a major city like NYC or Washington gets hit, we can tell you how to handle it.
And if we’re wrong, then we’ll all be cool fallout mutants together. Cool?
