New York State Helps the Kids
It seems like our New York Chapter gets a shout out in every State of theCHIVE Nation post. They are an unstoppable force of goodwill and their Halfway To St. Patrick’s party this month did not disappoint. The Bona Fide chapter raised over $21,500 for pediatric cancer patients at the Upstate Children’s Hospital in Syracuse.
According to a great write-up from the Observer-Dispatch, the money raised — $600 more than the $21,400 goal — will help the hospital pay for movies, video games, books, concert tickets, and other entertainment for children who are going through treatment and their families.
The co-founder of the non-profit, Colin LaReaux, added: “we would not be nearly as successful as we are without theCHIVE… their ability to rally around a specific cause, like pediatric cancer, is incredible.”
We’ll be featuring more pics from the party next week, but with a total like that, they had to be mentioned here!
