Apparently, something called synesthesia is going on. Christopher Fassnidge, a doctoral candidate in psychology at City University London, told the Verge that synesthesia is when our senses get mixed up in the brain. In this case, we’re getting hearing and sight all twisted, which is known as a “visually-evoked auditory response” or vEAR for short.
