Write letters to your loved ones.
My parents don’t want me to buy them things, they’d rather have me saving my money for the rest of the year. If you’re getting your parents something big and awesome, go for it, but don’t spend money if it’s not really worth it. Parents (or other family) often prefer something personal and meaningful – an easy way to do that is by writing letters or a poem. It’s kind of like in Wedding Crashers, when Owen Wilson tells Rachel McAdams to give her sister’s wedding toast from the heart. Take the time to write something that’s loving and honest. It will brig a smile (and possibly a tear) to the faces of your loved ones, and they’ll cherish it forever.
