Between 1997 and 2000, John J. Cooney Jr. shot a bunch of footage of major street art spots in Queens. Then, this year, he went back to the same spots and shot them again, and edited the footage into this side-by-side comparison. It’s fascinating to see how much the game’s changed, and how much it’s stayed the same.
“New media art duo” Sweatshoppe just blew my mind. Apparently they developed special projector software to put video wherever they roll their paint rollers. The result is pretty incredible.
