Surprise your co-workers with baked goods tomorrow!!

Mornings are rough, I'm not going to sugarcoat it. The only thing that's usually on my mind when I roll into the office each morning is how fast can I get a cup of coffee and how much time do I have to waste before lunch arrives. It's a delicate art form, and unfortunately I left my Indiana Jones whip at home so things were looking bleak in a hurry. Then, as if out of a movie, the angelic figure of a woman carrying several boxes of something into the office caught my gaze. That someone was Caitlin Hawthorne our grant assistant over at Chive Charities, and that something was an arsenal of baked goods, brownies, cookies, etc. Needless to say, this changed the mood around here real quick.

That was Caitlin's RAK to our office this morning. And to be honest, it was f%^&ing amazing. And it got me thinking, being that it is RAK Week after all, that this would be a great call to arms for all you guys out there looking to put a smile on some of your co-workers' faces. So bring in any baked goods, bagels, cookies, or whatever goodie that you think will turn the tides at your workplace and send in your photos (or not, it's up to you) to #RAKit

Or if you prefer to use theCHIVE submit page go HERE

Most importantly have some fun. It might seem like a small act, but I promise it will make someone's day. It made ours.

No kind act is too trivial.

Follow Resignation Brewery for a chance to win a private brewery tour in Seattle this Thursday!

We’re already steamrolling Seattle later this week for Chive Fest, and figured we might as well make the pilgrimage to see KCCO Beer in its baby-maker at Redhook Brewery. After Chicago drank the bottom out of the Gold Lager, Seattle is now the only place in the country with The Gold.

We will be randomly picking 5 people (with a plus 1) to get a private tour with John and crew this Thursday, July 10 from 6-8PM at Redhook Brewery in Woodinville, WA. After the private tour, we'll hit the tasting room for MOAR. This is a last second idea because we don't think things through (ever) so you either have to be going to Chivefest already (tickets still available right HERE) or be in the PNW area already (* must be 21).

The rules to enter this contest couldn’t be easier. Simply follow Resignation Brewery on Twitter and then tweet at them with the hashtag #ShowMeTheKCCO.

Resignation Brewery will be announcing the winners Wednesday, July 8 on their Twitter Machine along with all the details.
