Aboard the hospital ship USNS Mercy (30 Photos)

The Military Sealift Command hospital ship USNS Mercy (T-AH 19) returns to San Diego after a nearly five-month deployment supporting Pacific Partnership 2010. Embarked aboard Mercy were 100 doctors, nurses, hospital corpsman from Naval Medical Center San Diego along with other support and non-government organizations who contributed to medical and dental humanitarian assistance as the lead vessel to Vietnam, Cambodia, Indonesia and Timor-Leste.

    Hi! I’m an Indonesian medical student. I joined PP 10 as a translator. These pictures of the Mercy strike my heart; I miss living, eating, and serving aboard the ship 🙂 It’s an experience I will forever cherish, and hopefully I’ll be able to join future missions.
