        I like how this idea spread, honestly, it's a pretty good business tactic. Gillette started producing these razors back in the day, and they needed to sell more than they currently were, so they started slyly making ads portraying women shaving their arms and legs like everyone was doing it, even though before that no one was doing it. Once all these women started seeing these ads, they started shaving their arms and legs and haven't looked back since. And some people say advertising doesn't work.
