I'm so grateful for my tribe and the beautiful souls who have made their way into my life. I've always preferred to deal with things on my own, aside from late night breakdowns that not many people were around for other than my mom (who still gets those calls). Reaching out to people felt like an aching vulnerability and I was often left feeling worse than before, so I would retreat farther into my shell. I held my breath when I hit send on that post the other day, and shut off my phone immediately after because I was nervous about how people would respond. But I'm blown away at the way people have reached out to me over the past few days, my heart is aching but I've never felt so much love. Thank you for the love notes and support, and thank you for reminding me how connected we all are. Thank you to my best friend who booked a flight to come see me next weekend, and thank you @sadayayoga for the hugs - both in person and energetically. And I just booked a flight to LA right after the last of my finals, so I'll be seeing some of you soon! I have no plans or agenda, so shoot me a message if you want to practice or play. Today marks my 2 years clean and sober. 24 months, 104 weeks, 730 days, one breath at a time. Last year I was filled with an immense amount of joy and pride knowing how far I had come. Today I feel proud, but more so an immense amount of gratitude. These past 6 months have been a painful growth spurt that brought me to my knees, and the harder I fought to get back up, the harder I went back down. They taught me about humility, surrender, and trust, but I know I'm still at the tip of the iceberg with these. I've felt truly loved and supported in a way I've never felt before; although I know it was there all along, holding onto fear and control had felt so much safer than letting go and trusting. I'm so grateful for my rocks who have stuck by me through it all, for the incredible friends I've met along the way, and all the people who have inspired me from afar. I feel like I could make a gratitude list a mile long, so I'm going to go and do a little more writing, have a cup of coffee, and catch a few yoga classes. I've been struggling with the increasingly blurry line between this account and my life outside of IG. This account served as a platform for me when I began to find my voice, where I quietly celebrated my first month sober and confidently announced my one year milestone, I poured all the hard stuff out here that sparked over-due conversations with loved ones. I became acquainted with beautiful souls who offered me so much love and support that at some point I realized I deserved it and that my words might actually matter. Then I started meeting people in person for the first time who had been following me on here long before we met (hi loves!), with that a little voice of doubt and insecurity started creeping in. Suddenly it wasn't just my friends and complete strangers following me... But also the friends and family of my co-workers, parents, and girlfriend. I kept on writing, but I would get stage fright at posting the messier raw parts and slowing began keeping them to myself. I used to often snap pictures to post because I had things I wanted to express, and now I find myself hoarding pictures because I don't have anything I want to say. This isn't a loud proclamation of my return to raw messy posts, I think this is just an acknowledgment of my distance and I'm posting this because it's messy and it makes me feel uncomfortable. And sometimes being uncomfortable is okay. 🌊

@pop.active leggings arrived last night and I got a little excited... Pretty leggings are fun, and when they are also stretchy pants that feel like no pants and keep up with afternoon play time then you've got a winner!

First week into the semester and everything is feeling heavy... I have a full course load, including statistics😔, and my mind is already jumping ahead stressing about finishing projects while packing up my home to move at the end of term. But like all other things, it's one day at a time 💙 Making sure I get to my mat every morning, even if those are my only mindful and present moments for the entire day, they remind me that I am whole and that all this will pass. #oneassignmentatatime 🙏

I went for a walk earlier and caught myself smiling at nothing, and at everything. The trees just looked so damn pretty against the sky, and fall is settling in beautifully here. I’ve been joking with friends that I don’t know what to post here anymore; this account was part of a healing journey where I opened up about my struggles and learned to find my voice. But I’ve found I don’t have much to say, everything has felt just so damn lovely and peaceful, and I haven’t had the words for it. I’m just feeling instead of trying to quantify everything into words, but it feels like a slow dance by the fire or coffee in bed on a rainy morning. It’s a gentle flow with deep wide breaths that remind you that you are home and you are loved. Sending all of you so much love 💙

More barefeet. Share space. Edge of a cliff Savasana. Violin guided bliss. Hold hands. Walk through the trees. Blow the moon a kiss. Heart full. Feel taller. Hop on a bus back to the city. In my latest endeavor to prove Western medicine [and myself] wrong, I started running. I love it, so much, other than my quads, they are saying 'no'. Which means I'm taking a day off to let them heal, and not a chance that I was going to push this pose any further, focusing on balance instead of pushing my strength or flexibility. Well, this escalated quickly... 10000 followers feels like a really big (and kind of scary) number. But I am so grateful for each and every single one of you and all the love and support I've received from this community! So that said, I've got two things to share with you!
