As if it couldn’t be cool enough to get a lifetime supply of Vans, what this viral sensation did next is unprecedented. By now you’re probably familiar with the ‘Damn Daniel’ videos that broke the internet recently, and with their rising popularity came amazing opportunities. One of them was when Ellen invited the two Riverside High School-ers to her show, and rewarded the two with a lifetime supply of Vans.
In a show of good faith, the 14-year-old and his Snapchatting buddy took a trip to Loma Linda Children’s Hospital where they decided to gift the kids brand new pairs of white Vans. The children most definitely knew who they were, and they were just excited to hear the words “Damn, Daniel” as they were when they received a fresh pair of kicks.
They gave away over 100 pairs of shoes.
I bet it’s hard to not let their recent stardom go to their heads, but Daniel Lara and Josh Holz paid it forward, and brought smiles to kids who could use the visits and shoes a lot more than they could. Faith in humanity restored.
