By no means is the Ford GT “new” but the design of the 2017 has an all all new design, horsepower out-put and price tag. The older model Ford GT which was released back in 2004 was based on the legendary GT40. Going back to the 1950s through the ’60s, Ferrari was so dominant in the racing world that Henry Ford decided to buy the Italian company. Just before completing the deal, Enzo Ferrari pulled the plug. This lead to Ford’s creation of the Shelby GT40. 1
