You can add this to the category of “Things I never thought I ever wanted, but now can’t live without,” Canadian artist and illustrator Darren M. A. Calvert has created his own version of Canadian Pokemon. As you recall, we did a post of which existing pokemon were the most Canadian, based on a twitter poll conducted by Canada’s official twitter, and the results were pretty interesting. For Calvert, according to his Tumblr, he’s really excited for the recently announced mobile game “Pokemon Go,” which is a real-time, Pokemon scavenger hunt using real locations, but was worried that the only Pokemon you’ll find in Canada is Bidouf.
