When it comes to street art, there are a few ways it can go. It can be moving, intriguing, even selfie-worthy. Just look at these enormous street murals from our friend Tristan Eaton.
But when it comes to the street art known as “tagging,” most people would likely agree it’s not the most… attractive. Most of the time, you can’t even read what the heck the taggers are trying to write.
Leave it to French artist Mathieu Tremblin to fix this by painting over the eyesores of street tagging and making them legible.
Tremblin uses simple yet playful actions in order to question city life. No longer will you be annoyed by meaningless scribbles but rather question what these artists were trying to get across. Either way, it’s art and that’s a win for your daily commute.
