Getting to be in the Olympics means that you’re one of the most badass people in the country. You get to rep the US in the biggest sporting event in the world. And for most people, big events like this require support from your family; they should be there to cheer you on in the stadiums. Problem is, it’s crazy expensive to get there.
Darrell Hill is representing the US in the shot-put event. This is no doubt one of the biggest moments in his life, and surely his parents were THRILLED when they got the news. However Ellis Hill, a retired bus driver and Darrell’s father, wouldn’t be able to go with him due to the outrageous prices that come with traveling to the games. Now an Uber driver, Hill mentioned it to one his passengers, who decided to do something about it.
