In any sport, throwing on a jersey with the crest of your country is a complete honour. Often times, the people who are given that honour dedicate it to the people who helped them get there- the people who were there for them along the rocky road that is making it big in pro sports. When Atlanta Braves first baseman Freddie Freeman found out he was selected to represent Canada at the World Baseball Classic, the decision was easy, he’ll be thinking of his mother.
