What may be a godsend to the homeless population around the world, or a smart gimmick from a modern artist; the foldable house is a modern way to pitch a tent.
Small enough to fit in your pocket but inflatable to liveable sizes, the “Basic House” comes from the mind of Barcelona based designer Martin Azua.
The material traps heat in cold weather, and breathes in cool air when it is hot. It inflates like a travel couch, which a swish of the arms and then you step inside.
It is only conceptual now, the actual prototype is a museum piece. But there is potential for a trendy entrepreneur to help a lot of people, or maybe just a few campers.
