Back to the Future
Things could have been a lot different for the greatest time travel movie of all time. When it was first scheduled to shoot, Michael J. Fox was a little busy with a sitcom, so Eric Stoltz was hired instead. Director Robert Zebecks shot with him for around six weeks, but he always had the feeling that Stoltz lacked the lightness the character needed. He showed some footage to Steven Spielberg, who agreed. The studio agreed to their unusual request that the whole movie be reshot with Fox, who found some space in his schedule.
