The Cavs were facing a must-win in Monday night’s Game 5 in Oakland, while the Warriors were trying to clinch their second championship in three years in front of their home crowd. With the NBA season on the line, the stars came out shining at Oracle Arena.
LeBron James scored 41 points as he recorded another NBA Finals triple-double–he ended up averaging a triple-double for the whole series–but that wasn’t enough as Kevin Durant and Steph Curry fueled the Warriors to yet another championship behind their combined 73 points.
It was a great end to a great season for the Golden State Warriors. It quite possibly could be the start of another great NBA dynasty, that is if LeBron James can’t dethrone them next year.
