There may be no better way to land a job as a plumber than to appeal to customer’s childhood sense of wonder. Or at least that’s what one woman figured when she decided to do create a Mario-themed resume for her boyfriend to send to potential employers. It’s an ambitious move for sure, labeling your guy as a “part-time plumber and part-time princess rescuer.” But only time will tell if the move pays off.
It all began when James Bowie-Wooler asked his girlfriend to draft a CV for him – which is part her actual job – however, James likely didn’t realize the liberties Shannon-Marie would take when crafting such a resume.
The one thing James failed to realize about the out-of-box CV is that his girlfriend ended up sending it off to real employers. One employer reached out to him saying they couldn’t find his real resume, and that’s when it dawned upon the couple.
“I then had a sinking feeling, remembering that I have set up all of his job search accounts for him and he has been applying for work with them,” his girlfriend, Shannon-Marie Tanner, told Kent Live New.
“A quick login to CV library made me realize the CV he has been sending off to quite a few employers lists him as part-time plumber and part-time princess rescuer, which made me nearly wet myself with laughter.”
I wish James all the best with his gamer-geared CVs. May you clean many a pipe, good Sir!
Wait, sorry. Does that sound oddly sexual? My apologies.
