For some people, visiting the exact geographic centre of the world, of a country, of a whatever, is a thrill. It’s fun to take pictures, stand on either side of an imaginary line and takes selfies to send back to the office, so that the people left behind can hate you more. Yet, as we’ve had tons of cartographers, geographers and explorers go out and map the world and create monuments to certain achievements, you’d be surprised to know that a lot of them are false.
Yep. When a sign tells you you’re at the exact centre of the US, lets say. You’re not really. Whether is an error in measuring, or a matter of convenience, a lot of those monuments to your place on the globe, aren’t true.
