A very cool note to see from someone unfamiliar with Chive Chapters when a Clarksville Chiver RAK’d a local teacher.
“I had the nicest thing happen to me today. I woke up at 4:30 this morning and decided to go to Walmart and pick up the rest of the kids school stuff and things I needed for my class. This big furly guy came up to me when I was in the school supply aisle and looked confused (I thought he was probably a dad sent to pick up specific school supplies that were still needed by his child and wasn’t sure exactly what we was looking for.) He said I’m sorry to bother you, but would you happen to be a teacher. We are collecting things to fill a bus for Montgomery county teachers. I told him yes that I teach kindergarten so I usually purchase extra vrayons, glue sticks, scissors, and that I was there this morning getting folders for my class. He thanked me and went on.
So I got all my stuff checked out and he was talking to the security at the door. I just smiled and told him to have a good day. He said “ma’am, remember the things you told me?” I said yes. I was glad to help. He said “these are for you” and gave me two big bags full of school supplies for my class. He asked if I had heard of Clarksville Chive and I said no. He said, “We want to make the world a little better place so you’ve been RAK’d this morning (RANDOM ACT OF KINDNESS). I don’t need to know your name, but would you tell me where you teach.” So I told him, thanked him, threw my arms around him and hugged him and cried the whole way home. So to Clarksville Chive, thank you for making the world a better place and to the nice man that purchased supplies for class, thank you for making my day!”
