Safehome.org combed through FBI statistics to decipher exactly where the safest cities in America are. For their criteria, the cities had to be occupied by at least 50,000 people. Shockingly, New Jersey has the most safe havens on the list, with 18. California and another surprise, Illinois rounded out the top three states.
