I know not everyone gets the chance to cut their own firewood, or have a wood burning fireplace. Lucky for me we had an older home and a cottage where we’d have many a fire on a fall night, and roast some tasty s’mores.
But of course, you need fuel for that fire, so stacking wood became a learned skill when I was a little guy. I hated it, but I learned how to tightly squeeze wedges of wood into a pile. But it was never like this. These guys have all the talent and all the time in the world to turn a chore into a masterpiece.
I think I’d freeze before I undid these works for a measly fire.
