Late Tuesday night Canadians, and other Tragically Hip fans across the world, went to sleep knowing that the world was ok. On Wednesday morning, we awoke with the tragic news that Gord Downie had passed away.
The frontman of The Tragically Hip, who imbued his lyrics with so much love for Canada and it’s history, as well as his captivating stage presence and compassion, was gone.
He was 53.
