Out of all the genres of film that a gravitate to, I have a really soft spot for dystopian sci-fi. There’s something about a glimpse into a future that could be, that really fascinates me. It’s crazy how, from the early days of cinema, filmmakers have tried to predict what the future could look like, and how close they really are.
These films here, aren’t the definitive list of dystopian films out there, but they’re a good look at how things could get worse if we let them. But for now, however, it’s fun to pretend and imagine what the future might actually end up being.
