Avoiding it only makes it stronger
According to psychologists, avoiding the things you fear may only increase your fear of it- and it may even lead to a massive panic attack. It is indeed true what they say, that facing your fears is a great way to help yourself get over them. By at least understanding what you are afraid of, you might not be so afraid of them. We fear what we don’t understand, and keeping hidden away from these things may actually be to your detriment.
