Losing a family member is one of the hardest things someone has to deal with. Over a decade ago, Twitter user Matt Gurney lost his grandfather and during the process, Gurney realized that there were very few photos of him. So few that he couldn’t put together a memorial slide show.
At that moment Gurney decided he was going to be that annoying person during the holidays taking everyone’s photos. Gurney admits it’s a little grim that it took his grandfather’s death to start collecting photos but he wanted to capture everyone in much happier and healthier times.
