Dogs have a sixth sense about things. I remember growing up, our golden retriever would always wait by the door exactly five minutes before our mom got home from work. He didn’t just figure out the timing, either. Whether she came home at 3 p.m. or 8 p.m., he’d be at that door with 5 minutes to spare. He sensed her presence drawing nearer. Maybe he smelled her?
It’s kind of freaky. Like a super power. Dogs have been known to sense other things, too. Incoming weather is a commonly known one. But man’s best friend has also sniffed out cancer.
