In an interview with Uproxx in 2017, Sarah Silverman said, “Having a screaming competition… never changes minds. So we need to try and understand each other.” Living up to her words, Silverman has started 2018 off in the right direction after helping a Twitter troll get help with some problems in his life.
A Twitter user named Jeremy recently replied to one of Silverman’s tweets calling her the c-word. Rather than take the low road and call Jeremy out for being a dick, Silverman did a deep dive into the man’s profile and found he had problems with back pain and possibly drugs as well. She replied with, “I believe in you. I read ur timeline & I see what ur doing & your rage is thinly veiled pain.”
Jeremy came back to apologize and the conversation between the two is an amazing example of how I hope 2018 turns out.
