For most people, work can be a mix of limited gratification and boredom enthused stress. Indeed, while the mental stresses of large swathes of employment are often high, it is very much a rarity that ones physical well being is at risk.
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) (and their just released 2016 Census of Fatal Occupational Injuries), 5,190 civilian workers died while working in 2016. That’s an average of 3.6 deaths per 100,000 full-time employees.
