At least 500 staff and students were evacuated from a Melbourne university library yesterday because of a suspected gas leak. However, when firefighters arrived to locate the smell, all they found was a rotting durian fruit in a cupboard. No, this is not a joke.
For those of you who don’t know, durian is an extremely smelly fruit. YouTube is littered with videos of people and animals reacting to the smell.
