Yesterday the Resig and Chive family grew by one. Fenton Foster Resig and mother are doing amazing and Fun Uncle John can’t wait to take this stud out for his first beer. By all accounts my brother, Leo, was on his A-game as well; he wore a helmet and brought P. Terry’s Burgers to the gathering. 7bs. 3oz. of greatness.

I was hoping I could call attention to a Chiver we recently lost from the North Dakota branch. He was as dedicated to The Chive as he was to everything nerdy. He called so many of our attentions to the amazement that is The Chive. Pat succumbed to a nearly 2 year long battle with colon cancer early July 7th.
Pat fought with everything he had to overcome this horrible disease. This man was an inspiration to everyone he met (once they got past his introverted nature).
I loved him with every atom of my being and will miss him every moment of every day. I was lucky enough to spend the last two years caring for this man. He taught me how to love myself and love others again. I would give anything up to have him back but before he was ill. I know this isn’t possible, so we raise a glass and try to remember that goodbyes are rarely forever, even if some of them last longer than others.
He has many friends and even family that are regular Chivers and I would love for them to know he is being honored here as well. Thank you so much for your time.
Raising a glass to you this afternoon at the HQ, Pat, rest in peace.
