What if you were born with a talentā¦you are really, really good at art?
Not like, āmy Mom says that Iām goodā. NO, like professional good.
Bashir Sultani is that human but he wasnāt born into money. As in, he couldnāt afford to buy expensive paint.
Soon, he got bored of the old pen-to-paper and came up with the idea of using SALT.
āSalt is a very easily available medium. Itās the most common spice and not costly at all.ā

Bashir created this back in 2012ā¦itās one of his first salt pictures.
As you can see, he used plane white salt on black paper.

Then he started making his own colors out of the salt.

Yep, that’s not a photo of sushi. He’s tossing soy sauce on his picture made from his own DIY blend of colored salt.

āItās very difficult to show how something is made. Artists that film the process of their work will agree. When I started posting my videos on Youtube, I wanted to show the process, but my main concern was that I should make it entertaining to watch.ā

What’s crazy to me is the fact that Bashir will spend hours on a picture…as soon as he’s finished, he wipes the picture and on to the next one.
