It’s been 20 years since Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone/Philosopher’s Stone was published, and I still can’t get enough of the books. While they were written for kids, there’s an adult sophistication to them that makes them so appealing to us grown ups as well. It’s something that I can read to my kid, and enjoy every second of it, and I’ll re-live the magic of the story as he experiences it for the first time. I can’t wait.
In the meantime, there are so many secrets, hidden messages and easter eggs hidden throughout the books that readers are discovering as they read the series, over and over again. There’s some deep planning that went into this fantastical tale by J.K. Rowling, and we’re so grateful for every little morsel of plot that we can discover, that’s been hiding in the books all along.
It’s real magic. It’s gotta be!
