If you’re a huge movie buff or work in the industry, than you know there are some words that are unique to cinema, but you’ll never find them in an official dictionary. Or, if they are, they have nothing to do with movies in the slightest.
Now, it’s all legit, according to the Oxford English Dictionary. They’ve added over 100 new words that pertain to cinema, movie style and cultural references that we’ve been using for decades, and I’ve highlighted some of the ones I’ve been casually throwing around, and getting dirty looks from ‘proper English scholars.’
Now the world can truly understand what it means when something is ‘Tarantinoesque.’
