If you’ve ever struggled to make ends meet during the holidays, you know how heart-wrenching it can be. Sure, Christmas isn’t just about the presents, but watching people’s faces light up as they open your gifts is possibly the greatest gift of all. For many people, myself included, lay-a-way has provided the opportunity to make payments over time, with no interest, so that you can spoil that special someone(s). Not only have I used it as an adult, but as a child it allowed my mother to load the tree up with a bounty of riches we would have never seen otherwise. For her, the joy we had unwrapping gifts was one of the highlights of the season.
