When it comes to making up a name for a song, you’d think you’d just pick your favourite words in the lyric and be done with it, right? I’d think so. But I suppose I’d be wrong. Because there are actually more songs than you think that have names, that aren’t ever mentioned its the song. For example, there is no Scientist mentioned in Coldplay’s “The Scientist.” Not one.
According to a list, painstakingly curated by kyjlm2 on Reddit, there are precisely 377 songs that are called something that have absolutely nothing to do with the lyrics. I don’t know about you, but that’s incredibly mind-blowing to me, and the OP deserves a shit-ton of applause for coming up with close to 400 examples.
That’s a lot of confusing songs.
