A good rule of thumb when asking someone to do something for you is to be overly polite and don’t expect the person to carry out the favor being asked.
That’s especially true when asking a coworker, who in this day and age probably doesn’t even like working with you to begin with. So I’d suggest not going about asking a favor from a fellow employee the way this woman did.
